2. IKEA BISTRO - (SHA TIN) & TIN LOK BAKERY - ( WAN CHAI ROAD ) :
IKEA BISTRO :
With many options to pick from, we settled with The Swedish Meat Balls with Mashed Potatoes and Cream Sauce and The Snack Platter with Smokey Honey Sausages and Golden Fried Chicken Wings with French Fries and Sweet corn.
The restaurant is busy on weekends, so the best is to pick a table for yourself before you head to pick from the varied delicious meals they have to offer.
TIN LOK BAKERY :
This bakery in Wan Chai is the best to pick up a quick snack before you start your day exploring Hong Kong. It opens at 6 am and closes by 9 pm.
The Cheese and Crab Stick Bun was an absolute win.
The prices were reasonable and it's sure to keep the hunger pangs away for a good amount of time.
The famous Egg Tarts which is widely available everywhere was served here too but it wasn't the best. So yes you could avoid the Egg Tarts here and keep exploring it at other places. We had the best Egg Tarts on the streets of Macau.
3. WILDFIRE PIZZA BAR - THE PEAK :
This place is a must visit. Situated at The Peak it is one of the most amazing places with the best food and an awesome view. Make sure you book a reservation for the best seat in the restaurant to enjoy the spectacular view of Hong Kong whilst sipping on some of the most amazing cocktails.
Every dish here is worth it, from the Sausage Party to the Spicy Beef Calzone, every bite was a delight. There are a variety of Pizzas, so I wouldn't bound you to my choice when you have a lot that you could chose from. Make sure you head at a convenient hour, so as to avoid rushing into having your meals and you can enjoy the view at leisure.
4. YUM CHA - CAUSEWAY BAY :
Known for its famous and cute Piggy Buns, the restaurant has a couple of chains in Hong Kong. With a fine dining set up and well curated menu, this is the best place for your kids to enjoy as well as they can feast on the the Hot Molten Custard buns and the famous Piggy Buns.
5. TIM HO WAN ( NORTH POINT ) :
It is a one Michelin star restaurant, also known as the world's cheapest Michelin star restaurant.
The restaurant has a long waiting line, so be prepared to wait for your turn, but trust me the wait is worth it.
The pork buns are to die for, it literally melts in your mouth. The restaurant is always hustling so make sure you select your order quickly and be prepared for a heavenly delight.
From left to right we have
1. Baked Buns with BBQ pork
2. Steamed Prawn & Chive Dumpling
3. Braised Beef Brisket with Noodles
4. Steamed Dumplings in Chiu Show style
5. For dessert - Sesame Balls with Molten Salted Egg (crisp sesame balls filled with piping hot salted egg yolk liquid)
I fell in love with the Pork Buns and since it was our last few hours in Hong Kong, I parceled a box of 8 for my family back home in India and they were still fresh the next day.
